Didnt know they were powder coated black, man, what a bitch.

after 3 coats of stripper, powder coat gone, but og paint still there, lol

took me awhile, but got them blasted

3 coats of silver

U know I was thinking the same thing, has a cool look to it. Was thinking of hitting up alex and have him try one, but I just went with the original look.

Felt a little creative today, so i snagged up the dog, went home and worked on the rat. Modded up a air vent off of that old dodge truck, got it to fit the bug, and i also cut the front, got too windy, so thats all i got done today.

just eye balled it and cut, good thing my eye ball was straight, lol.

way too big

had to to some mods on everything, lol.

a little more trimming

removed the wiper humps, have to shape some metal in there.

some final welding and good to go.

Do you guys think the tires are too far forward? even with the front hood.

more to come this week, need to do the beam extension and get the beam on so it rolls, im going to get this shit done by my birthday, may 24th

thanks guys, ill make a scoop to funnel the air under the dash, keeping balls from sweating is really important, lol. The whole car is just tacked together, i have ALOT of welding to do, then even more fine tuning the metal, then ALOT of body work, Laughing :lol, im motivated though, so no problem

Ok well my dad got his new buggy, he cut off his ball joint frame horn and was building a arms, so i made use of his frame horn and beam. Used them and my link pin frame horn to make my extension, its 10 inch, with 3 1/2 drop and 6 degree of caster. It turned out pretty good i think, i know, i did it all hilly billy style, i dont have fancy tools, but everything was level, and everything came out within a 1/16th, which is good in my book, lol. Well dont rape me too bad, i know its not a water jet and tig welded one for $300, but it will do the job and i think it looks nice, welds could be nicer, but they are solid. polished up the tubes, painted some black and cleared it all, will look good on the rat.

dads new toy

probably slap a rack and pinon on the extension, well once i can afford it, lol.
